I got a bird feeder that takes niger seed, but they just drain out all over the yard - good for the ground feeders, but the Goldfinches get short measure!

Comment on The Joys and Trials of a Gardener

Very informative read. I am also an avid gardener. It’s just so wonderful seeing things grow and blossom. And aside from growing things, I also love arranging my plants and doing my own landscaping stuff. I really get neat garden landscaping ideas from visiting fellow nature lovers’ blogs.

Comment on Chelsea Flower Show 2009, a Personal View

Wow, I never knew that Chelsea Flower. I find a garden that doesn’t follow the rules of fashion designers has far more interesting ideas to embrace. As for the so called upper classes, from my experience a lot of them would be far better off with council house size gardens because the only bit of garden they’re really interested in is the bit they can see from the house windows.

Comment on Best tomatoes – The Verdict

I bought my Harbinger seeds in Oxfam on a whim, and am growing them for the first time on a council flat balcony.
